Celtic Charm

I bought this ring from an exhibitor at a craft fair, on my recent trip to Paris. I'm addicted to unusual jewelery, and I've always loved celtic symbols. This one is a 'triskelion' - a celtic symbol (of sorts) for the holy-trinity. It's pure silver and hand-made. See HOHL for other unusual pieces like this.

6 weeks ago I had the unexpected pleasure of some time off, with my other half. We decided to make sure it was quality time together and to get away from the humdrum of home for a bit. We stayed at the rather lovely Principal York Hotel which, despite it's elegant appearance, was not quite as smoothly run as I'd have hoped, but it all got sorted in the end! Scotland: Argyll & Bute

Today is my birthday - so naturally I took the whole week off to celebrate. What better way to spend it than a trip to one of my favourite places? The west coast of Scotland boasts some truly spectacular scenery. I've been a few times now and I can never get tired of it.
