Dotty Dress

Well, it's officially wedding season. The time of year most 'singletons' dread (owing to the general, depression-inducing, cost of all those hen-dos, gift-lists, overnight-stays, etc, etc) but I am an anomally. I love it. It's the best time of year for pretty-dress-shopping! I actually bought this River Island dress a few weeks ago for work but, with the right head-wear and heels, it could easily double-up as an outfit for a wedding/christening. I love the fun loop detailing on the collar and pockets too.

The Not-Too-Short Shorts.

Having longer-than-average legs can make it somewhat difficult to find summer wear that fits (and doesn't leave too much on show). Luckily though, New Look have recently released a bargainous, new tall range...

These boyfriend shorts fit me perfectly. And my cats seem to like them too...

Jumper: F&F
Shoes: Dorothy Perkins (They don't sell white ones online but here's the same thing in nude)
...And then I got a bit carried away and bought this skirt too. Because, y'know, you can never have enough maxi skirts.
Savvy Shopping: New Look do Free Delivery on orders over £45. But they also do free returns, so if you order a few things at once (or things in different sizes) the postage won't cost you a penny!

Paris in Spring Time

Everything you've heard is true: Paris is amazing.

When I was little we'd always have our family summer holidays in France, and we'd nearly always vist Paris on the way home. Paris has tonnes to offer, but you appreciate it so much more as a twenty-something than you do as a teenager. The one similarity on this trip? Once again I tagged along on my parents' holiday...

On the first day we went to the Sacre Coeur and I climbed all 300 steps to the top. The view was well worth it but it has to be said I lacked a bit of parisian style the next day when I was hobbling around with sore muscles...

After that my mum wanted to see the Moulin Rouge but I really wish I hadn't tagged along on this one... because if there is one place you shouldn't visit with your parents it's the sex district.

Whilst my Mum was at the Musee D'Orsay, I visited the Louvre with my Dad. He's one of 'those' tourists who likes to consult the guide book and rent the audio guid…

The first post

Hey hey, welcome to my first post!

Yes... I've finally stopped talking about starting a blog and actually had a go at it. Expect lots of posts featuring my shopping addiction, some culinary experiments and a few adventures!

Oh, and in case you were wondering about the name: it's something an old work colleague used to call me a few years back and I always thought it would make a good title for a book... but it'll do for a blog I reckon.

Much love
